Help me make my blog cute

I have no idea how to add cute patterns, borders, music, anything besides the boring blogger templates they have.  I need help.  Anyone want to give me tips, sites, suggestions, walk me through it? I see all of these fantabulous blogs and mine is so plain.  HELP!

Four Month Stats.

Liam had his four month appointment today!  He is doing great and growing well.

He is 17 pounds 4 ounces and 26 1/2 inches tall.  He is 81% for one and 87% for the other, I can't remember which.

We are going to be seeing an occupational therapist about his neck (torticollis).  We have been doing his neck stretches, but it doesn't seem to be getting better, so we will just go and see what they have to say.  His is very mild compared to Whitney's and his head shape is great, but better to get it resolved before it causes a problem.  It may seem like our kids have all kinds of medical problems, but I think it is just us trying to be proactive.  I'd rather do something about it before it becomes a big deal, especially when insurance pays for it!!!

They told us to start trying solids now, but we are going to wait until at least six months.  He doesn't need it now and I would rather not introduce anything new to his sensitive body.  We will have to try soy formula in two months in order for the insurance to keep covering his formula.  They are going to have him try it at his next appointment in case he has a severe reaction and if he is okay with it, we will try it at home.  If he doesn't do well with it, we will continue the Neocate.

He also got his shots, poor guy.  I think the nurses who poked him really hurt his feelings.  The first poke he looked at me like, " What did they do?"  Then the next, he screamed and the third he screamed even louder.  I don't think those hurt worse than the first, he was just so mad that they were doing that to him.  Do you blame him?  Sadly, I don't think he is feeling so well now.

This has nothing to do with the appointment, but Liam's mohawk is getting so long.  I think I will have to cut it soon.  It makes me sad to cut his hair already, but it is so long, it gather and falls backward or off to the side and looks way too much like a ponytail.  He will still have a mohawk, just shorter.

Muscle Man

This is a silly thing to post about, but I just had to document it.  I don't know why it is underlined - IT WON'T STOP.  Well, today we were at Target and Liam was in his carrier playing with a baby toy.  All of a sudden he started screaming like something was really wrong.  I looked at him and he looked fine, toy in hand.  I looked a little closer at the toy and noticed he had broken it.  He had one part in one hand, another part in the other and just pulled it hard enough that he broke it.  There were no openings on the round part, he just took a chunk out of it.  I don't think he swallowed any of it and I checked his face and no red marks, so I think it scared him.  HOLY COW.  My four month old ripped his toy apart.  We better watch out because he is just going to get bigger and stronger.

New toy!

Liam got a new toy and he loves it!  We had an exersaucer for the girls, but Adam made me give it away before we left Utah.  Liam loves his jumper and it helps keep him upright after he eats.  Because of his reflux, we have to keep him up after he eats or he gets heartburn.

Trip to Chicago

We decided to take a little family trip to Chicago last weekend.  Sorry the pics are out of order, but we were able to enjoy the Children's Museum, Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, Lou Malnati's Pizza (sooo good - I might go back to Chicago just for that!) and we got to see some our friends from BYU.  I was roommates with Paige and we used to double date with her and her husband, Michael while we were all engaged. They had a Fondue and Karaoke party that night! It was fun to see them.  Unfortunately, the temple was closed for renovation, so we really will have to go back (and get some pizza!)

Liam went swimming for the first time.  I think he could take it or leave.  The water was a little chilly, so if it were warmer, he probably would have enjoyed it more.  We all went into the hot tub after the pool and we sat Liam on the edge and let his feet dangle in the hot tub (it was not very hot), but I think it felt hot to him because he stuck his feet straight out and would not let them touch the water.  I think the swimming was the girls' favorite part.  We could have saved our money on everything else and just brought them to the hotel pool!
